At the beginning of the year, the senior boys were able to safely travel to their retreat, preached by Fr. McMahon, at the Benedictine monastery of Our Lady of Guadalupe in New Mexico.
The original itinerary for the senior girls’ retreat, which would have had the Academy seniors joining up with young ladies from other SSPX schools, wound up being canceled for the same reason so many of our events were canceled this year - inclement weather and adverse road conditions.
Thankfully, Fr. Flanery was able to arrange for the girls to join another Ignatian retreat in Los Gatos, California, directed by Fr. Angeli. The senior girls, along with their Literature teacher and trip chaperone Miss Allison Isermann, report that it was a good and fruitful retreat, and quite an adventure for those of them who had never flown before!
News on the boys' and girls' retreats for the upcoming 2025-2026 school year will be posted here when those plans are finalized.
