Academy Schedule

First Day of School for the 2023-2024 Academic Year will be Tuesday, September 5th (the Tuesday after Labor Day). 

 

More dates will be released as the calendar is finalized.  

The school day for all grades at Our Lady Help of Christians consists of classroom instruction, recess, and lunch. 

School is in session Monday through Friday from 7:55 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (with the exception of Kindergarten, which does not have classes on Wednesdays). 

Barring an occasional modification for field trips or special feast days, the regular week-day schedule proceeds as follows:                          

  • 7:50 a.m. First bell, Line-up
  • 7:55 a.m. Attendance, Prayer
  • 8:00 a.m. Classes Begin  
  • 11:30 a.m. Mass
  • 12:15 p.m. Lunch
  • 3:25 p.m. Prayers             
  • 3:30 p.m. Dismissal

The 2023-2024 OLHCA Annual Academic Calendar will be posted here when it is finalized for the upcoming school year.  This calendar will include term dates, exam schedules, Parent/Teacher Conferences, vacation days and other days off, etc.

Students also participate in a variety of after-school activities.  The dates and times of these after-school gatherings are announced as these events are scheduled, and can be found in the school's weekly-distributed "Messenger" or by checking the Events page.  These activities may include:

  • Server Practice for low and sung Masses and special feast days
  • Meetings of the Scouts of Christ the King
  • St. Stephen's Guild meetings
  • Maids of Mary events
