Senior Trip to the 2025 Angelus Press Conference on Vocations
Seniors at the Angelus Press Conference
On Thursday, October 16 , the senior class set out for Kansas City, where the Angelus Press Conferences were being held. The next morning was the start of the conferences, opening with an introductory speech given by Fr. Fullerton on the theme for this year: the fostering of vocations. The day continued with a series of conferences given by Fr. Themann, Dr. Rao, Fr. McFarland, Mr. Robert Wyer, and Fr. Wiseman. In between these conferences were meals, providing a chance for the students and many other attendees to mingle.
On Saturday, students from several other schools arrived, bringing the total number of schools in attendance to 10. With a new set of doctors and priests, including Fr. Robinson, stepping to the podium, the theme of the importance and development of vocations continued to be expounded upon before the conferences were concluded with final address by Fr. Fullerton. When dinner time came around there was a video presentation on the Jubilee Pilgrimage.
After a good trip and much learning on the subject of vocations, the seniors began their journey back home. On their way back they stopped to see the incorruptible remains of Sister Wilhelmina. The trip made a strong impression on the seniors, and they are extremely grateful to their chaperones for driving them there, and for the major sponsor, Mr. George Allen, for making the trip possible.
